City Information 
The city of victory, Jaipur is more known as the royal capital of Rajasthan and its eye feasting beauty and breathtaking monuments and stout maharajas on bejeweled elephants. Being in Jaipur is a joyous experience and a rendezvous with the era bygone. Forming the last vertex of the glorious golden triangle including Agra and Delhi, this city captivates everyone with its royalty and charm. The metropolitan Jaipur is also a stepping stone for travellers heading towards desert cities of Jodhpur and Jaisalmer.

The city dressed itself in Pink to welcome the Prince of Wales and Queen Elizabeth II in 1876. At present, the old city of Jaipur still is coloured in Pink, lending a soothing charm to the surroundings.

Major Tourist Locations 
Amer
Fort Located just 11 km from central Jaipur, Amer or Amber Fort is a classic and romantic palace set in picturesque and rugged hills. Known for its artistic architecture, Amer Fort blends nuances of Hindu and Mughal principles in red sandstone and white marble. The main attractions in Amer Fort include Sheesh Mahal, adorned with thousands of glittering mirror tiles on walls and ceiling. Also, the light and sound show featuring the narration by Amitabh Bachchan enlightens the travellers about the glory of Rajput Kings. 

Nahargarh Fort 
On the edge of Aravalli Hills, Nahargarh Fort overlooks the city from the sheer ridge to the north and offers breathtaking views of Jaipur city. Built by Maharaja Jai Sawai Singh in 1734, Nahargarh Fort was built in order to strengthen the security of the city. 

Hawa Mahal 
The palace of winds or more popularly known as Hawa Mahal is the face of Jaipur. The lattice was specially constructed for ladies of Royal Family to look through the city and its proceedings including festivities and royal processions. Built in red and pink sandstone, the palace charms the traveller when viewed in morning with the golden and soothing sunrise. 

Jantar Mantar 

The largest astronomical observatory of its times, Jantar Mantar consists of equipments and geometric devices used to monitor time, eclipses, movement of planets, tracking stars in their orbits, etc. Constructed in stone and marble, Jantar Mantar is not only a major tourist spot in Jaipur but is also enlisted in the list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites. 

Jal Mahal 
Placed rightly in the middle of Man Sagar Lake, Jal Mahal is an idyllic paradise known for its architectural feat. Located to the north of Jaipur, Jal Mahal is bordered by the Aravallis towards the north, west and eastern side. This exotic spot also serves as a home for many migratory birds. 

Birla Mandir 
The temple is known as Laxmi Narayan Mandir, situated in the south of Jaipur. It is a modern architectural marvel, built by Birla family on while marble. It has three domes, each portraying the different approaches to religion.
The temple became part of Jaipur sightseeing because of its architectural wonder and ambience.

How to reach there
By Air 
Jaipur Airport 20 km away from city center is accessible from all major Indian cities including Udaipur, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Chennai, Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Chandigarh, Mumbai , Jammu, Pune, Nandeed, Guwahati and Sri Nagar. Flights from Singapore, Sharjah, Muscat and Dubai are also available here.

By Train Through Jaipur Junction, the city is connected by Indian Railways to all major cities of India. The specialty trains like 'Palace On Wheels,' 'The Royal Orient' and ‘Royal Rajasthan On Wheels” also link the city to the train luxuries on the go. 

By Road National Highway 8 connects Jaipur from Delhi via industrial township of Gurgaon and offers a smooth ride on the go.

Chokhi Dhani

Jodhpur 
Jodhpur is more commonly known as the Blue City due to the blue-painted houses around the Mehrangarh Fort. Founded in 1459 by Rao Jodha, a Rajput chief of the Rathore clan, Jodhpur city consists of exquisite Palaces, Forts & temples all of which may be enjoyed as part of Jodhpur's city tour.

Jaisalmer 
Jaisalmer is a tawny golden land known for its grandeur of havelis and palaces in the north east Rajasthan. With miles and miles of desert expanse and camel safaris, Jaisalmer evokes a number of exotic images about rustic Rajasthan. 

Udaipur 
Also known as the City of Lakes, Udaipur is the “Venice of the East” with plush luxuries of heritage hotels and various lakes apart from its history, culture and scenic locations. Lake Palace is one such example covering the entire island in the Lake Pichola. The mesmerizing lakes here include Fateh Sagar Lake, Udai Sagar and Swaroop Sagar. 

Ajmer & Pushkar 
A hub of cultural affinity, Ajmer is surrounded by the green Aravalli Mountains. Once ruled by Prithvi Raj Chauhan, Ajmer is now a popular pilgrim spot famous for Dargah Sharif Tomb of the Sufi saint Khwaja Moinuddin Chisti and Pushkar, the only temple of Lord Brahma. The Picturesque Pushkar Lake is also a sacred spot for Hindus.

Mount Abu
An oasis in desert, Mount Abu features the highest peak in the Aravalli Range of Rajasthan. Home to rivers, lakes, waterfalls and evergreen forests, Mount Abu is a home to a number of Dilwara Jain temples.

Ranthambhore 
This wildlife park lays about 130 kms away from Jaipur. It has a great number of tigers and other species of animals.

Samode 
The palace is located near the Samode village on the outskirts of Shekhawat. It is made by sandstone at the base of the Aravalli range of hills The interiors of the palace are awe-inspiring the ancient Rajasthani style.
