Red Fort
Known famously as Lal Quila, Red Fort is brilliant red sandstone marvel built by Shah Jahan. But the monument notably is known as a symbol of Indian Independence. Every year the fort witnesses Independence Day celebrations with flag hoisting ceremony.
India Gate
The 42 meters high, stone memorial arch known as India Gate was designed by Edwin Lutyens. It is a prominent landmark in Delhi commemorating the martyrdom of 90,000 Indian soldiers who died in World War I.
Rashtrapati Bhawan
Through Rajpath, one can explore the majesty of Rashtrapati Bhavan, the presidential residence. Close to President House, domed Indian Parliament is the centre of Indian Central Government. Spread over an area of 330 acres, this complex consists of 340 rooms. The Mughal Gardens are a treat for the eyes and are open to the public during one month between February and March.
Jantar Mantar
This observatory within Connaught Place was built in 1724 by Maharaja Jai Singh II. This masonry aimed at compilation of astronomical tables along with prediction of movement of sun, moon and planets coming under the discipline of astrology.
Rajghat
He Ram! These were the last two words of Mahatma Gandhi. At Rajghat, there is a black marble platform marking the place where the father of the nation was cremated on 31st January, 1948. To pay respect to the preacher of non-violence, the site is specially a part of various dignitaries’ tour to India.
Jama Masjid
Built in 1656, Jama Masjid, the largest Indian mosque forms the part of old Delhi. Every Friday thousands of devotees gather at Jama Masjid and offer rhythmic prayers (namaz) to Allah.
Qutub Minar
The world’s tallest brick minaret, Qutab Minar represents the magnificence of Slave Dynasty. Built in 1199, this complex also houses the thousands years old Ashokan Iron Pillar.
Chandni Chowk
Foodies delight - Chandni Chowk is one of the oldest and busiest markets in central north Delhi. Famous for Delhi’s spicy chaat, stuffed parathas and non vegetarian delicacies, Chandni Chowk offers glimpses of Old Delhi.

Uttaranchal
